Chamber music festival "Omenapuun varjossa" has taken place every year since 2005 in the picturesque villages around Lohja region in southern Finland. The festival focuses mainly on rarely performed chamber music.
Lohja offers beautiful concert venues rich in atmosphere, such as the church of Nummi (1822) and the art nouveau style Dairy Museum in Saukkola.
Finnish premieres of several compositions have taken place at the festival, including almost forgotten masterpieces by composers like Lully, Cherubini, Gouvy and Herzogenberg.(Detailed program see "Ohjelma".) Next to chamber music, festival has offered to its guests concerts for children as well as evenings with klezmer music, finnish waltzes, folk music from the Balkans etc.
Violinist Goran Gribajcevic and violist Anna Kreetta Gribajcevic are in charge of artistic planning.

Welcome!
